Cloud-native backup for OpenStack, Kubernetes & OpenShift.

SIXE deploys, integrates and supports Trilio across Red Hat OpenStack, Canonical, Mirantis, OpenShift Virtualization and any CNCF Kubernetes. One-click application restore, cross-cloud disaster recovery, immutable ransomware-proof backups and clean VMware migrations — agentless, no vendor lock-in, with European engineers on the phone.

Why Trilio

Legacy backup tools don’t understand cloud-native infrastructure.

VMs are ephemeral, containers come and go, volumes drift across nodes and the network is software-defined. Backup tools built for physical servers simply don’t fit. Trilio is built natively for OpenStack, Kubernetes and OpenShift — it captures the entire application (VMs, networks, secrets, Helm releases, metadata) and restores it as a single coherent unit. That’s why operators like Telefónica UK, Vericast and DETASAD trust it for mission-critical infrastructure. As enterprises rethink VMware after the Broadcom acquisition, Trilio has become the de-facto data protection layer for the open infrastructure stack.

How we help

Four scenarios.
One straight answer.

Whether you’re rolling out your first deployment or your existing Trilio install needs expert hands — this is your starting point. Tell us about your environment.

01
Design & deployment We deploy Trilio for OpenStack or Trilio for Kubernetes from scratch. Storage sizing, multi-tenant RBAC, retention policies and full validation in production.
RHOSP / RHOSO Charmed Kolla
02
VMware migration Move vSphere workloads to Red Hat OpenStack or OpenShift Virtualization using Trilio. We capture VMs with their networks, volumes and metadata — without taking production offline.
vSphere → RHOSO → OSV / KubeVirt
03
Multi-cloud DR Disaster recovery between two distinct OpenStack clouds or across Kubernetes clusters. Full workload restore preserving network topology and storage.
Cross-cloud Continuous Restore
04
L2/L3 support 24/7 Healthchecks, job troubleshooting, retention tuning, real DR drills and urgent response when things break. With the engineer who already knows your environment.

Supported platforms

Wherever your cloud runs,
Trilio runs with it.

Trilio is native to OpenStack and CNCF. Agentless integration with every distribution in the official compatibility matrix.

OpenStack Trilio for OpenStack (T4O) Native, agentless, application-centric backup. Multi-tenant self-service via Horizon or CLI with full Keystone integration.
Red Hat OpenStack 16 / 17 Red Hat OSP Services on OpenShift (RHOSO) Canonical Charmed OpenStack Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK) Kolla-Ansible / OpenStack-Ansible
Kubernetes Trilio for Kubernetes (T4K) Protects full cloud-native applications — Helm releases, operators, CRDs, secrets, namespaces. Not just PVCs. Cross-cluster mobility.
Any CNCF-compliant distribution Rancher / SUSE Rancher EKS · AKS · GKE Mirantis Kubernetes Engine Canonical Kubernetes
Red Hat OpenShift Trilio for OpenShift & OSV Certified operator for OpenShift Container Platform. Plus dedicated support for virtual machines on OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt).
OpenShift Container Platform OpenShift Virtualization Upstream KubeVirt Operators & Helm releases VMware → OSV migration
Trilio vs alternatives

Not every backup tool
understands the cloud.

A fair comparison. Every tool has its place — Trilio shines when OpenStack or multi-tenant Kubernetes is mission-critical.

How SIXE works

No middlemen.
No automated quotes.

The engineer who answers the phone is the one who’ll deploy your Trilio. No first-line helpdesk, no internal escalations, no salespeople who don’t understand the technology.

Meet the SIXE team
1. A technical conversation, not a sales pitch Tell us what cloud you run, what you need to protect and where it hurts today. We come back with a plan, not a generic commercial proposal.
2. Honest sizing We size data volume, backup windows, retention, RTO/RPO targets and the Trilio subscription you actually need. No padding to inflate the invoice.
3. Deployment & validation We deploy Trilio on your OpenStack or Kubernetes, integrate it with S3/NFS/Ceph storage, configure policies and validate real restores before going to production.
4. L2/L3 support afterwards Periodic healthchecks, tuning, troubleshooting and urgent response when things break. In English, French or Spanish — with the engineer who already knows your environment.
Frequently asked questions

What we get asked
before we start.

Which OpenStack distributions does Trilio support? Trilio for OpenStack integrates natively with Red Hat OpenStack Platform 16/17, RHOSO, Canonical Charmed OpenStack, Mirantis OpenStack for Kubernetes (MOSK), Kolla-Ansible and OpenStack-Ansible. SIXE works with all of them — check the official matrix or just ask us.
What about Kubernetes and OpenShift? Trilio for Kubernetes (T4K) protects any CNCF-compliant distribution: Red Hat OpenShift, OpenShift Virtualization (KubeVirt), Rancher, EKS, AKS, GKE, Mirantis Kubernetes Engine and Canonical Kubernetes. It covers applications managed by Helm, operators, labels or namespaces.
How does Trilio fit into a VMware migration? Trilio is one of the most efficient tools to move VMware workloads onto Red Hat OpenStack or OpenShift Virtualization, capturing VMs along with their networks, volumes and metadata. We combine it with our migration services for large projects — zero downtime and a defined rollback plan. For organisations rethinking VMware after the Broadcom acquisition, this is the cleanest path off vSphere onto open infrastructure.
Does Trilio actually protect against ransomware? Yes. It supports immutable backups on S3 object storage with object-lock, LUKS-256 encryption with customer-managed keys, point-in-time recovery and air-gapped storage. As a complement, we implement best practices like the 3-2-1-1-0 rule — backups that survive a full network compromise.
Can I run disaster recovery between two separate OpenStack clouds? Yes — and it’s one of the most common use cases we deploy. Trilio captures the full workload at the source cloud and recovers it in another OpenStack cloud (even on a different distribution), preserving network topology and Cinder volumes. Operators like Telefónica UK rely on it for mission-critical services.
What languages does SIXE support? English, French and Spanish. We work with clients across Europe, Latin America, the United States and the Middle East. At SIXE the engineer who answers the phone is the one who’ll solve your problem — no first-line helpdesk, no translation in between.
