What is IBM Storage Scale?
IBM Storage Scale is the software-defined storage solution built on GPFS (General Parallel File System). A fully POSIX-compliant system that enables concurrent access to all data from as many nodes as needed, eliminating the bottlenecks of traditional network file systems in high-performance computing environments.
It allows you to define server clusters that control data and hundreds — or thousands — of compute nodes that access it via NFS, SWIFT or CIFS as connectors, but without their usual limitations: with high availability, maximum parallel I/O performance and concurrent access without data loss.
