[ 01 ]Training delivered directly by our engineers

Linux is no longer an alternative — it's the tech foundation.

Red Hat™ and SUSE™, along with their community distributions (Fedora, CentOS, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux, OpenSUSE), are the technological foundation of enterprises and organisations worldwide. To them we add Canonical Ubuntu, based on Debian, which long ago stopped being a desktop distribution to become the backbone of much of the modern internet.

Whether you're coming from Windows or bring experience from classic UNIX systems (AIX™, Solaris™, HP-UX™), we can train your team to master Linux in any of its forms and flavours.

We've been building tailored Linux training for 15 years. We've worked with Linux across fields ranging from satellites to 3D design, servers of all kinds, distributions for autonomous cars, aircraft, home automation and industrial control systems.

Every course we deliver is done directly, without middlemen. If you don't need bespoke training, we also deliver official vendor training from IBM, Red Hat and Lenovo. We complement training with our OpenShift, OpenStack and Ceph hubs, and with Linux migration services.

[ 05 ]Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Which Linux distribution are the courses delivered on?

Whichever you use. We adapt the material to Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SUSE (SLES), Ubuntu, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinux, Debian or Fedora — the same exercises run on your distribution. If you have no preference, we default to RHEL, SLES and Ubuntu.

Do the courses prepare for official certifications?

Yes. Specific tracks for LPIC-1 / LPIC-2 (C01 · C02), RHCSA / RHCE (RC01 · RC02), LFCS / LFCE and Red Hat OpenShift 4 (OS01). SIXE Ubuntu courses have their own itinerary.

Are the Ubuntu courses official from Canonical?

We are a Canonical partner, but the UBU courses are SIXE's own: we design the syllabus, exercises and labs, and we deliver them. They are not Canonical's official courses — they are SIXE's official courses on Ubuntu.

Course format and group size?

On-site or live-remote (virtual classroom), from 2 students. We adapt duration and intensity. We travel to the client's premises anywhere in the world if the team prefers that.

I come from Windows and want to move to Linux — where do I start?

The L06 · Linux for Windows administrators course is designed exactly for that profile: it covers what a Windows admin needs to know to operate Linux systems, with the parallels between both worlds.
