Red Hat OpenShift training
for enterprises

Train your team on the leading enterprise Kubernetes platform: bootcamp from scratch, cluster administration and advanced development with GitOps — all on OpenShift 4.20.

[ 01 ]Why OpenShift, why now

Enterprise Kubernetes — without having to wire it all yourself.

Red Hat OpenShift is the most widely adopted Kubernetes distribution in enterprise environments: RHEL CoreOS base, integrated tooling (Tekton, ArgoCD, Service Mesh, Pipelines) and the same cluster running the same way on-premise, IBM Power, Z, AWS, Azure, GCP and IBM Cloud. When the requirement is containers in production with vendor support, OpenShift is the natural choice.

Our path covers the three profiles that touch the platform: those starting from scratch, those who will administer it, and the development team deploying on top. Always on the latest stable release — currently OpenShift 4.20.

Start with Docker and Kubernetes, then OpenShift.

If your team hasn't worked with containers yet, the Docker & Kubernetes administration course is the natural entry point: it teaches the fundamentals OpenShift assumes underneath, without the Red Hat layer on top. Afterwards, the bootcamp or Level 2 land much better.

[ 05 ]Frequently asked

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Kubernetes experience before starting?

For the Bootcamp (Level 1), no: Linux administrator experience is enough. Level 2 assumes you're comfortable with containers, and Level 3 expects you to already handle OpenShift as an administrator.

Which OpenShift release is the training on?

Always on the latest stable release supported by Red Hat. Currently, OpenShift 4.20. We update the material at every release so what you learn doesn't age before you apply it.

Does it prepare for the official Red Hat certifications?

Level 2 prepares for the Red Hat OpenShift 4 Delivery Specialist certification. For the other official Red Hat OpenShift certifications, we support you if that's your goal.

What do I leave with?

The cluster you've deployed during the course, the training materials and — depending on the level — the preparation for the corresponding official certification.

We're moving off VMware — is this course useful?

Level 2 leaves your OpenShift cluster running, which is the prerequisite for migrating VMs to OpenShift Virtualization. If you'd rather have us handle the VMware exit as a service, we also offer the VMware → OpenShift migration.

Is it valid for OpenShift on IBM Power or Z?

Yes. The platform is the same on x86, IBM Power and Z: same Operator lifecycle, same tooling, same Kubernetes underneath. If your cluster runs on Power, we train on that architecture without issue.

Format and group size?

On-site or live remote, from 2 attendees, in English, Spanish or French. We tailor the content and length to your team.
