From Linux Containers to a running
Kubernetes cluster.

Three days of intensive workshop, independent of the orchestration solution you use. We review Docker Enterprise, AKS, GKE, Amazon ECS and Red Hat OpenShift, but the focus is on the concepts, use cases and tools they share — and we finish by deploying an environment based on the latest stable Kubernetes release.

A hands-on course built from our experience as trainers and consultants in Cloud, Linux and DevOps. You leave with a solid base to apply DevOps best practices and to start preparing the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) exam with additional practice.

Frequently asked questions

What background do I need?

Reasonable experience in UNIX or Linux at administration level. If you don't have it, we recommend one of our intensive GNU/Linux administration courses first — the containers workshop starts from scratch on Docker/Kubernetes but assumes you're comfortable with the shell.

Is this official Red Hat, Docker or CNCF training?

No — it's an in-house SIXE course, with materials produced in-house. We review the different solutions (Docker Enterprise, AKS, GKE, ECS and Red Hat OpenShift) but the workshop is independent and vendor-neutral. If you're specifically after official Red Hat OpenShift training, we have dedicated courses.

Does it prepare for the CKA certification?

Yes, with an honest caveat: the workshop gives you the solid base and practical understanding to prepare the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA). The CKA is a demanding practical exam — to pass, you'll need additional practice after the course. Optional Block 7 is dedicated to reviewing what the CKA typically evaluates.

What environment are the labs run on?

On a dedicated lab environment per attendee, not shared. We deploy a Kubernetes cluster from scratch using the latest stable release, so each participant can break, rebuild and experiment without depending on anyone else.

Which delivery formats are available?

Get in touch for formats and dates. We deliver in Spanish, English and French, in on-site or remote format, and we can arrange in-company cohorts to measure. Content and duration can be adjusted on request.

How much does it cost?

Pricing is per group and depends on format, language and delivery. Tell us your case — number of attendees, location, dates — and we come back with a concrete proposal.

What do I take away at the end?
