What sets us apart

We don't just sell Fusion

En SIXE know the full stack: FlashSystem, Storage Scale, Ceph and OpenShift. We advise on what you actually need — and if Fusion isn't the answer, we'll tell you.

Honestidad: Fusion HCI usa Storage Scale ECE (GPFS). Fusion SDS usa OpenShift Data Foundation (Ceph de Red Hat). Different products for different profiles. We help you choose.

// FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Fusion HCI and Fusion Software?

Fusion HCI is a complete appliance: pre-validated hardware + software (OpenShift + Fusion) + unified IBM support. Plug it in and your platform is running in days. Fusion Software is the same data and protection layer, but you install it on your own hardware — ideal if you already have servers or prefer a different hardware vendor. Both offer the same persistent storage, backup and DR capabilities.

Can I migrate from VMware to Fusion HCI?

Yes. Fusion HCI supports OpenShift Virtualization, letting you run Windows and Linux VMs alongside containers on the same platform. You don't need to migrate everything at once — move workloads gradually from VMware while adopting containers for new projects.

Which GPUs does it support for AI?

As of May 2026, Fusion HCI supports GPU servers with NVIDIA H200 and RTX Pro 6000. You can add up to 4 GPU servers, each holding up to 8 cards — a total of 32 GPUs per system. GPUs are managed via the Red Hat OpenShift Operator for AI, included out of the box.

Does Fusion HCI include OpenShift licences?

Yes. The appliance includes both optimised hardware (control, compute and storage nodes) and the required software (Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and IBM Fusion) ready to use.

What training does SIXE offer related to Fusion?

Fusion integrates technologies SIXE has been training on for years: Ceph courses (basic and advanced), IBM Storage Scale (GPFS), SAN Volume Controller, and OpenShift administration. We train your team to operate Fusion independently from day one.

How does it compare to Nutanix or VMware vSAN?

The fundamental difference is the approach: Nutanix and vSAN were born for traditional VM virtualisation. Fusion HCI is designed from the ground up for containers and Kubernetes (native OpenShift), with a parallel file system (GPFS/Storage Scale) delivering I/O performance that alternatives can't match for AI and HPC workloads. If your future is containers and on-premises AI, Fusion is the platform.

Ready for on-premises AI?

Tell us your use case and we'll help you size the solution — Fusion HCI, Fusion Software, or an alternative if that's what you need. No commitment, no fluff.
