Power Systems for AIX II AIX Implementation and Administration

4.375,00€

Learn to install, customize, and administer the AIX operating system in a multiuser Power Systems partitioned environment. The course is based on AIX 7.3 running on a Power Systems server managed by Hardware Management Console and provides practical discussions that are appropriate to earlier AIX releases.

SKU: 64. Category: IBM Power Systems
  • Description

Description

At SIXE, we have over 15 years of experience providing official IBM training worldwide. Get the best training delivered by our specialists in Europe and Latin America.

Course Information

IBM Code: AN12GES / AN12GCategory / Subcategory: Power Systems / Power Systems
Mode: Online and In-personDuration (days): 5

Target Audience

This intermediate course is aimed at system administrators or anyone implementing and managing an AIX operating system in a multi-user Power Systems partitioned environment.

Desired Prerequisites:

You should be able to:

  • Log in to an AIX system and set a user password
  • Run basic AIX commands
  • Manage files and controls
  • Use the vi editor
  • Use redirection, pipelines, and tests
  • Use the find and grep utilities
  • Use command substitution and variables
  • Set and change Korn shell variables
  • Write simple shell scripts

These skills can be obtained by attending AIX Basics (AN10G) or through equivalent AIX or UNIX knowledge. Additionally, it would be helpful (but not mandatory) for students to be familiar with partitioning concepts and technology taught in Power Systems for AIX I: LPAR Configuration and Planning (AN11G).

Instructors

The vast majority of IBM courses we offer are taught directly by our engineers. This is the only way we can guarantee the highest quality. We complement all training with our own materials and labs, based on our experience during deployments, migrations, and courses we’ve conducted over the years.

Added Value

Our courses are deeply role-oriented. It is different for a development team to need technology skills than it is for the people in charge of deploying and managing infrastructure. Therefore, beyond commands and tasks, we focus on solving the problems that come up in the daily work of each team. Providing them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for each project. Additionally, our documentation is based on the latest version of each product.
