Lenovo ThinkAgile with GPUs

Three hyperconverged systems (compute, storage and networking virtualised on the same servers) built on the same hardware, the SR650a V4 with NVIDIA GPUs, each with a different platform: Nutanix on the HX650a V4, VMware on the VX650a V4 and Microsoft Azure Local on the MX650a V4. The HX and VX ship with the software preloaded, and we install them in your data centre on the platform you already use.

Choose by the platform you already use

Nutanix

AHV or ESXi 8, all-NVMe and up to two double-width GPUs, RTX PRO 6000 or H200 NVL. It runs as a single node or with three or more.

VMware

ESXi 9.1 or 8.0 U3 from the factory, vSAN ESA and up to four double-width GPUs. VCF needs at least four nodes, and VVF at least three.

Microsoft Azure Local

Azure Local managed from Azure Arc, with AKS included and up to two RTX PRO 6000, four L40S or eight L4 GPUs.

Before you ask for a price

Which of the three?

The one that fits what you already have: if your team runs Nutanix, the HX650a V4; if you live in vSphere, the VX650a V4; and if your company is a Microsoft shop, the MX650a V4. Since the hardware is the same, what changes is the platform, the licensing and who supports the software.

What your data centre needs

Inside, all three are an SR650a V4: 2U, air-cooled, up to 8 TB of memory and NVMe drives. In a hyperconverged cluster the network between nodes carries the storage, so before you order we go through the switches and the power per rack with you.

Why buy it from us

The cluster arrives built on the platform you already use, and if it ever fails, you call the same team that put it into service.

All three share the same hardware, so the decision comes down to platform and licensing. We start from what your team already runs and what you pay today, and tell you which one fits and how many nodes you need.

We install the nodes, the network between them and the cluster, register the platform and move your virtual machines, with the GPUs ready for whatever AI runs on top.

When something breaks you talk to the engineers who commissioned that machine, and if you need it there's 24×7 on-call cover with a contractual SLA. It's the same independent support we provide for IBM Power, Linux and Ceph estates.

We're an IBM Business Partner and partners of Red Hat, SUSE, Canonical and CIQ. With CIQ we install Rocky Linux for AI, with the NVIDIA driver and CUDA already validated, on the same servers.

We work in all three languages, support included, so if your company has teams in several countries they deal with the same group of engineers.

Frequently asked questions

Are the licences included?

Not entirely. The HX650a V4 ships with Nutanix preloaded, but the software licences and support are bought separately; VX650a V4 licences are bought from Broadcom or one of its partners, or you use the ones you already have; and the MX650a V4 is licensed through an Azure subscription, with an optional OEM bundle of Azure Local and Windows Server 2025 with unlimited virtual machines.

Who provides support?

Lenovo handles the hardware and, depending on the country and contract, is also the first point of contact for the software; deeper software issues are resolved by Nutanix, Broadcom or Microsoft as appropriate. If you need it, our 24×7 on-call support covers the platform we installed.

Can I start with a single node?

With the HX650a V4, yes: Nutanix supports one node, or three or more. With the VX650a V4 you need three nodes with VVF and four with VCF.

What if I want to move off VMware?

Then the HX650a V4, the MX650a V4 or a rack server with Proxmox are a better fit. We explain it in VMware in 2026: four paths after the Broadcom change.

Do you offer ThinkAgile training?

Yes: we have a Lenovo ThinkSystem and ThinkAgile infrastructure course for the team that will run it.

Which platform do you use today?

Tell us which platform you run, how many virtual machines you have and whether you'll use the GPUs, and we'll come back with the cluster design, the price and a confirmed lead time.
