Official IBM Cúram Social Program Management training

Cúram SPM is the platform a public administration uses to run social benefits: working out whether a citizen is entitled to support, processing the claim and carrying the case through to the end. A mistake here does not produce a badly formatted report: it produces a benefit that never arrives. That is why Cúram training is almost always bought alongside an implementation project or a handover of the team.

The catalogue covers two releases, 6.0.5 and 7.X, and three jobs that rarely overlap: whoever defines the business rules, whoever develops on the platform, and whoever builds what the citizen actually sees. If your installation is on a newer release than the official outlines, the course is delivered on the one you have all the same.

The ideal path

For a technical team joining a Cúram 7.X implementation, the order that works best is: platform fundamentals (9D72G) for shared vocabulary, technical overview (9D76G) for the architecture map in two days, development with ADE (9D73G) and finally customisation (9D74G), the long one and the one that actually gets used on a project. Seventeen days spread across the project, not back to back.

If the team is on the business side and will not be coding, the path is shorter: fundamentals, eligibility rules and, if you design the forms, Intelligent Evidence Gathering.

By level

Beginner. Platform fundamentals and the technical overview for your release. Those are the two you can take without having seen Cúram before, plus the Design System for designers if you come from the interface side.

Intermediate. Cúram Express Rules, where eligibility rules get written without touching code; development with ADE; the Design System for developers; and Intelligent Evidence Gathering, which builds the citizen-facing forms.

Expert. Customisation, where the platform gets fitted to each administration own regulations; Workflow to automate case processing; and Universal Access, the portal citizens reach from their phones.

The branch implementations are built on today.

Kept because implementations on this release are still in production.

How they are delivered

We are an IBM Business Partner: the material and labs are the official ones and our own engineers teach them, at your premises or remotely with a live instructor. Groups are private, which on an implementation project matters more than usual: the exercises can be set on your own benefits model rather than the sample one.
