IBM DOORS database administration (QN201G)

1.225,00€

One day to answer for a DOORS database rather than just use it: setting up users and groups, handing out permissions over modules and objects, creating and archiving projects, and keeping the repository in shape.

SKU: 366. Category: Rational
  • Description

Description

IBM course code:QN201G
Delivery:Online, classroom or onsite
Duration:1 days (8 hours)
Who it is for:DOORS database administrators.
Recommended background:QN101G or equivalent experience using DOORS.

Who this course fits

  • Anyone inheriting a DOORS database with permissions nobody documented.
  • Teams who must open the database to an outside supplier without granting access to everything.
  • Administrators who need to archive closed projects and do not know how.

Course content

  • The DOORS database and how it is organised
  • Users, groups and account management
  • Permissions over projects, folders, modules and objects
  • Creating, archiving and restoring projects
  • Repository maintenance and periodic tasks
  • Lab on a real database

Training with SIXE, IBM Business Partner

  • Labs on a real DOORS database: requirements get imported, traceability links created, and deliberately broken to see what happens.
  • Taught directly by IBM Champion instructors from the SIXE team.
  • Credly badges available: credly.com/organizations/sixe/badges
  • Flexible format — online, classroom or onsite — in closed groups, priced per attendee, in the language of your choice (ES / EN / FR).

Instructors specialised in IBM Engineering and Rational

Engineers from the SIXE team who implement and administer DOORS and DOORS Next on real requirements management projects. Several recognised as IBM Champion.

Frequently asked questions

Does it apply to DOORS Next?
No: DOORS Next is administered from the Jazz platform and is a different product. This is classic DOORS. If a migration is coming, ODC8005G is the DOORS Next course.

Do I need QN101G first?
Either that or having used DOORS. This course does not teach you to navigate a module: it teaches you to administer who may.

Group size and language?
Closed groups of four to ten people, in Spanish, English or French. We run it with fewer than four as well, though it usually pays to wait and fill the group.
