Frequently asked questions

Does it cover migrating from Db2 12?
Yes, and it is the core of the course: conversion mode, enabling-new-function mode and new-function mode, which is where you decide what can still be backed out and what cannot.

What is the 10-byte RBA and LRSN about?
It is the widening of the log record identifiers. It matters because once the 6-byte RBA is exhausted Db2 cannot write to the log any more and updates stop: one of the reasons not to arrive late to the migration.

How is it organised and what does it cost?
It runs as a closed group, priced per attendee. Tell us how many you are, which release you run and which dates suit you, and we will send a proposal.
